so here are kind of my options I'm trying to figure out if the additions 25w or so will be worth the extra cost. This stereo system will be put in a 2010 Road Glide Custom.
What's your budget. That PBR amp is pretty crappy man...actually really crappy. There's MUCH better stuff out there at decent prices.
Are trying to retain FM reception.
After the headunit I have a budget of about $850. I can get a discount on Pioneer, Kenwood, Diamond, and Rockford. Yes I am trying to still have FM reception why?
Haze asked the FM question because you will lose your FM reception with most of the class D amps out there. Only a select few will allow you to keep your FM. The Rockford TM4004Xad will maintain your reception. The Kickers are great entry level speakers but you can do a whole lot better with the budget you have left.

Well if the RF TM400x4ad will maintain FM reception that is probably what I will go with. What are some different speakers you would recommend then that would be much better for the bike. I wanted to go with some marine grade speakers originally but have heard the sound quality isn't as good plus with the tweeter being integrated into the grills that can be an issue with installing them in the fairing and speaker lids.
I'd take a look at the Hertz line of speakers for the fairing and the Pioneer 6900pros for the lids. Marine rated speakers are overrated in today's world. Most of the high end speakers do well in the elements. The Pioneers are $130 bucks and worth every penny! You want your most expensive speakers in the fairing.

I completely understanding going with the Hertz or something similar in the fairing. What about Diamond Audio in the fairing? Are these also quality speakers? I just looked at the Pioneer 6900pros. I don't know if they would work well in my Lids with the way the tweeter sits up super high
