Default Amp quick disconnect

Just got my Dead Center fairing in. Adding a JL audio 280/4, but trying to figure out a quick disconnect for the amp. JL audio says to run 8 awg wire. Thinking of a quick disconnect near the fairing. What do you guys use? Will this work?

I just wasn't sure how much power the amp draws from the battery. Before the harley 3 years ago, I was hot and heavy in RC cars and trucks. Figured lipo batteries create a lot of power and thought about using those connectors. I just don't know about how weather friendly they would be.

I have been looking at some of these for a little while to make a power harness for a detachable tour pak in the future.

I am not sure if I am more thankful about you showing these connectors, or that website Both are very cool! Us non RC guys would have never known you can get wiring supplies and tools at a site like that, but it makes sense since you guys do much of your own building and repairs. Good find, thanks!

We build custom harnesses for any setup. Prices start at 50.00 and go up from there. Reference pic is a power/ground/speaker quick disconnect for amp/speakersmounted in the saddlebags.
