Ok, I just purchased some lids for my '16 RGU from a forum member and I ordered a set of the Pioneer Pro's to put in them today as well. Currently I am running the BT 4180 powering some KRC's up front and Alpine SPR's in the tour pack with the breakout harness and LL's. I am trying to decide between running the fronts/TP in parallel and the lids on their own channel or the fronts on their own channel and parallel the TP/Lids? Right after Christmas I am making a run to BAB for some Hertz components for the fronts and I'll also be swapping the TP speakers out as well, if that changes any suggestions. My other thought/consideration is adding an additional amp such as a B52 and an additional LL to power either the TP or the lids.
If I add another amp, what/how would be the best way for me to wire those in? Are there better options/choices that I should be considering when I do this?
You need a second amp if you really want that to sound good. Are u using BT brackets? There's a few small amps that fit on the bracket.
he's on a RG
You can fit all sorts of stuff in there, I running 2 TM400x2's now (or setup to be, waiting on my tour pak to finish the install). One is mounted horizontally against the fairing mount under the radio and the other is mounted on top of the headlight. I have a fused power distribution block in the right cubbie and a ground distribution block in the left cubbie.
You can fit a diamond micro 2 in each of the cubbies to the right and left of the radio. A Micro 4 will fit but you have to be creative with wiring.
I've also ground the tabs off the top of the headlight, you can put something as big as a PN4.1000 up there and still run a good sized amp under the radio.
When you go to BAB see what matches better to your Hertz components and then run the BT4180 to the others.

Talking with the folks at BAB today, they were suggesting sticking with 1 amp and possibly going with the 800.4 to power everything. My thinking though is same as yours, I need to be looking at doing 2 amps.

So your thinking is to run a new, different amp for the components up front? Then use the 4180 to run the pods and lids? It was suggested today to possibly just look at running an 800.4 for everything.

Get one of those JL 280/4s for $150 to power the fairing Area 51s that will be rolling out this week and use the BT4180 for the lids and TP.
You will not need an additional LL. You will just need some "Y" RCAs that will split the signal off your rear line leveler. The front line leveler will feed the JL.
Move the KRCs to the TP pods and sell the Alpine SPRs. Project complete.

Where can I find one of the JL amps at? What about the Y RCA. I'm looking at doing all this rather quickly and will need a hand once I get it all in.
