Default Build advice

Hello all. Iv'e been researching a lot in this section looking to add audio to my 2009 Electra Glide Standard. I am kind of anxious to get this project started since the Standard has no audio at all. Was leaning toward Sony MEX-70BT, SS PN4.1000D, Hertz MPX 165s and possibly adding 6x9s in lids in future. Further reading about the DD AW6.5 has me thinking to go ahead and spend a little more than I was originally budgeting and go all out for the front stage with the possibility of being satisfied with out lids. I would almost rather not mess with lids anyway, but do not think two 6.5s will do the trick. Thoughts?

Outstanding, a man with a plan. Can't go wrong with the DDs. I would try them first and see what you think as there's a good chance you'll be content with them. Easy enough to add later. May just want to make sure you go with enough amp to power more later or at least one you won't have a problem selling if you decide to move up.

Gonna have to go with lids on that model since it has no lowers. (Unless of course you want to add lowers) Set up so far is very good. I would roll with the AW6.5's and the BT30 or the AT28 tweets vs the Hertz speakers. Save your cash and go one step at a time. Front stage first. Then as Budget permits jump on a set of fairing factory lids with a set of pioneer pro 6900's.

Thanks guys. I am pretty sure I'm gonna go with the DD 6.5s and BT30s and pinch pennys until I can spring for lids/prep/paint. The price of Pioneer Pros makes that a non-issue. Really want the Hogtunes lids, but I don't think I can wait that long.
