As for the aluminum I used (don't laugh) it was an old street sign from the Chicago CTA. The thickness is unknown right now as I am at work an unable to measure the material.
To bend the 90s I have a homemade sheet metal brake I fabricated at work I use.

For mounting the bracket I slotted the bracket to slide down over the side mounting bolts for the HU.

Hopefully this will help

For mounting the amp to the bracket I used industrial velcro. The stuff sticks so good you have to use a screwdriver to pry it off the mount

I bought a 4x10 remanant off ebay for like $8. It's 1/8" .125 Aluminum Sheet Plate 4" x 10" 6061. Mounted the plate with sheet metal screws across horizontal ledge of vertical support brackets. It's solid as rock. I used screws on a older amp I used it for originally but just using industrial velcro for 600.4. Here pic of it after I cut it out.

I think thats great history riding along! It looks thicker than street sign material though? I would like to see pics of it from the sides where you slotted it?

Same mount on both amps. .090 aluminum on plates, and stainless is 16g iirc for the radio mounting point.
