Installed Sony 310 head unit today using the Metra unit and the ASWC-1 for hand controls. I'm no electronics genius but follow directions pretty well. I've followed the directions in the updated Dropbox instructions.
I've read and reread the sticky for clues until I'm almost blind.
Following the instructions, I turn on the power and the lights flash red quickly.
The lights stop after several seconds and then flash seven times green
Then there are 4 red flashes ( Sony is recognized by 4 flashes)
The led then flashes for a while but never turns solid red.
I seem to be there except for the last thing which tells me it's programmed.

I gave up on it. I got frustrated and after reading all the how to's until I was blind, I picked up the phone and called biketronics last Monday and by Wednesday, I had their module. Hooked up 3 wires (black, red, yellow) and it works. I'm back together and riding. I already had the mounting kit for the Sony so I just got the module. Just over $150.00 with forum discount, shipped. Easy !!!
I'm sure I could have eventually figured out the ASWC but decided my sanity was more important. By the way, I did have to reconnect the pink wire I had to cut for the ASWC.
shoot me a PM regarding the ASWC1. I know you went with BT, which we know is P&P.
if you are interested, you can ship the ASWC1 to me and I will check it (give me several weeks though, really busy with work) and ship it back (although I got kenwood HU)
I need to open the hood for another forum member... so planning to do it all at once.
