Consensus seems to be on the pioneer pros in the speaker lids. A couple have seemed to like the DD DX6x9. Just in looking around for fun, would there be any advantage to running the DD VO3 with the Vo-M6x9 using the Horn Tweeter Bracket from American Hard Bag?
The more I look around on here the more options and indecisiveness sets in.

When I bought the bike (12 Street glide) it already has the OEM speaker lids. So to save the money of new lids, was looking at the options with 6x9 adapters. Should have mentioned that in the original post.

Ahhhh. Then I think I would go with the Pioneer Pro as it has a horn/tweet that delivers damn good highs.
If u wanted to get crazy and experiment u could run 6.5s and horns on the lids!!!! Just prob not gonna get the lows we all like. Just depends on the sound u r looking for.
Guess the experiment i was thinking was if 6x9 and horn being independent of each other would perform better than having the combined unit of the pioneer pros.

Give it a shot brotha!!! I have not tried a 6x9 Component setup but in theory it should be pretty damn good!!! Just not sure if the bang for the buck is there.
Know of a few shops that prefer the vo 6x9 over any coaxial. Adding horns will cost but will be loud. Mmats used to make a good 6x9 coaxial that had a killer design, unsure if still in production or not. It is still in the catalog. ps69cx. Not a huge power monster but design very similar to some Morel I tried and sound was fantastic.
