I upgraded my audio system (Aquatic AV). I know the intercom is dead but what about the stock CB? I don't use the intercom so that's OK but I do still need the CB on occasion. Right now I'm using a Cobra handheld with a handlebar mount, grip mounted PTT button and IMC headset that I bought from Sierra. It works great but it's kind of a pain. If I was to plug in the stock Midland CB unit to the factory connector would it work through the factory headset jack (I do have a J&M Elite in one of my helmets and a 7 pin cord) with the PTT switch on the handlebars? I don't want to go to the trouble of taking the fairing apart again if it won't work.

You upgraded the head unit correct? The CB Module works through your stock head unit. I don't think there is a aftermarket head unit that will work with the CB module.

 

Right. Dumb question. Of course it won't work.

 

I wish there was a Aftermarket head unit that will work with CB Module. Upgrade to cleaner sound and still maintain my CB which runs out about 5 miles vs a hand held mounted to the bike that only reaches roughly 1-2 mile and have to set up before any of the Hog Groups Chapter rides. Being one of 30+ road captains, CB is how we communicate.
