Android Radio for 6.5?
OK i have a 14 Limited which has the 6.5 with ugraded, PBR 300x4, Cycle sounds speakers and magic box. The system is just so clunky for world we live in. I have a BMW with a android radio upgrade, they are really finicky and it has the amp and harmon kardon. The android radio was plug and play, every factory option works and i have better sound and google nav and pandora radio. Does anyone make an android radio that will work with all the harley functions? i know it would operate smoother. just asking. I cant find anything.

You can try this HU. Its a single din with a double din face. The "din" part has diiferent mounting options. It can be mounted to the screen to where the "din" is on the top part (just like the stock Harley HU). You'll need a 4G dongle for internet capabilities. I was going to go this route, but ended up just getting the Sony XAV-AX100.

Just added the Sony Xav-ax100 to my 15 SGS the other night. I'm running DB Neo 4 amp, Hertz 6.5 SPL mids and DD Audio VO-B3 horns. I was using the 6.5 GT with the amp and speaker setup.
All I can say is the sound quality is 100% better with the Sony unit. And I still need to tune the amp a little better. I'm also running Android Auto Direct connection with Galaxy S8+ phone. The direct connection makes the sound even better than Bluetooth.
I would recommend this head unit to anyone thinking of ditching the stock one.

I wouldn't ditch the stock HU with the DSP options out there. The best sounding bike at Daytona that just took second at Myrtle was running the stock 6.5 HU. Check out the vid in this post, you get far more tuning options with a DSP than with an aftermarket HU

Here's what I'll say being that I've gone in circles with this; 6.5 to Sony MEX100BT, Kenwood 998, 4.3, and back to a 6.5
There is NOTHING out there that works as well as the 6.5 in terms of GPS, music searches and weatherproof that works WITH the hand controls, NOTHING!
Sure an aftermarket gives you the sound you crave but you have to give up on everything else for it. Might be ok if your a parking lot pimp or weekend rider but for me who rides a lot, and occasionally in the rain, it's the only solution.
Luckily, and I wish these were around a year or so ago as I'd have saved a **** load of money, we have access to at least 2 DSP's that fit in the bike.
You CAN get EXCELLENT quality and as much control over the signal as you could possibly want from these little jems.
Now, if your main focus is using spotify or pandora and google maps etc then yes, this Sony is a great option.
