Default Back Feed

A guy at work has a 2012 RG (CVO I think) with a Kenwood Hu. He says he is getting a growling back feed noise when the HU is turned down. This is all I know about the bike and problem. My plan is to stop over after work and take a look.

My first thought is the ground.

With this limited info is there any other obvious things to look for?

Thanks
Brad

Check for grounds, an extra ground to the radio...or ground the RCA cables to the radio.

Also make sure his speaker wires and or RCA's are not close to the power cable. But as Alex stated. Backfeed is normally a ground issue.
