Why does he need a splitter, he only has 2 speakers?
edit: oops, already covered.
Oh, and by the way, those Infiniti speakers should work fine with that SV amp.
Thanks. Because I'm a lunatic and am paranoid about the water resistance of the Kappa's, I picked up a pair of Polk MM652 marine rated speakers.
Amazon has a great return policy, so I figure I'll try them both and see which I like better. Hopefully the Polks - I'd rather not to have to mask off the grilles when I wash the bike.
Im using Polk MM652 with JL MX280\4 amp and a JL FIX86 in my fairing of my 15 RGS. Sounds great I had a BT355 sounded great with the bike off but the sound was lacking when the bike was running

Can you elaborate on this? I see nothing but good things about the 355. I do know that HD changes the output based on run/stop so this makes sense. Did you go a different direction?

Yes the radio has 2 different outputs. with the LL it sounded great when the bike wasnt running but once running it sounded really flat, I ended up taking the BT355 out and replaced it with a JL FIX86 calibrated it using the sound track supplied. Sounds so much better.

I'm thinking of doing a similar build on a friends '11 RG. Do the pre-Rushmore bikes use a line leveler? Is the wiring different for a HK head unit to the amp?

On a PreRushmore you'll use a Line Out Converter (LOC) instead of a Line Leveler.
PAC SNI 35 is what you want.
