Yeah - I gotta agree with Haze. Those JL amps don't get hot. Something is causing it to get hot in your set up. If it's cutting off there's a reason. Gain settings? Juice from the battery? Ground? Connections? RCA's? How do you have it mounted to the radio? What size wire are you using? See where I'm going with this? Check all the above and get back to us.
