Default What Next ???

Because I am just not ready to call it quits.
Currently aw6.5 in fairing jl600/6 this amp in case want to go horn setup latter right now happy with this setup.

4 jl8.8 off of hdp4 pak and lowers LOVE this setup

Area that feel is not being best used is 6900 in lids off of jl280/4 8.8 make them almost useless.so thinking bag space may be better used for more bass question is what would folks recommend 8" or 10" and with what mounting kit these are stretched bags and would like to keep as much space as possible and the 280/4 needs to be power source.I know ill loose bass at speed but 40mph and below should be real nice.have 8.8 crossed at 65 so something that hits hard below that.

Thank's for any input,Alan

Alan, your 280/4 powering woofs is gonna be your weak link. If that's the sticking point I think options get limited

I think with the 4 - 8.8's, you are going to have a hard time using any 6x9 in the lids. If I had that setup, I would either put 8.8 lids on. Or I would put 10's in the bags. With those 2 sets of 8.8's, it's got to sound amazing.

IMO , with that much low end, why not another set of 6.5 in the lids?

Short of using a sub, an 8" midbass in the bag will give you the most room vs a 10" midbass, but it'll be hard for an 8 to cross much lower than 65hz. I've heard there are some 10s out there getting crossed around 45hz, but have never heard them in person, and you will lose some bag space compared to an 8.

Or get a custom fibreglass enclosure molded into your bags and use a sub..........

I'm with Bagger. Thinking a good set of 6.5 PAs in the lids might be what the Dr ordered. They sell 6x9 to 6.5 & Tweet adapters that will work perfect, but u also might be able to find a killer PA 6x9 too.
