Default DSP channel allocation

So I'm about to button up my rebuild. Here is what I'm running

Speakers
DD VO horns - Gauge Holes
SoundQubed 6.5 - Stock fairing location
HCX690 - Lids
Crescendo UN-8 - Inside bags

Amps
SD 250.2 - Horns
SD800.4 - 6.5's & 6x9's
JL XD400 - 8's

DSP is a RF DSR-1. Here is how I allocated the 10 channels to the 8 outputs on the DSR.

Spare L/R - Horns on channel 1&2 of 250.2
Frt L/R - 6.5's on channel 1&2 of 800.4
Rear L/R - 6x9's on channel 3&4 of 800.4
Sub L - 8" bridged to channel 1/2 of JL XD using RCA Y splitter
Sub R - 8" bridged to channel 3/4 of JL XD using RCA Y splitter

Is this the way it should be done? Just want to check before I terminate the battery terminals and put power to the thing.

Zach

BZ,

I'm not so sure the DSR1 has TEN outputs. I believe it only has 8.

Also I would recommend a different set of 8's inside your bags. Typically you want to get bass from that location and that speaker is much more of a vocal midrange which you really don't hear the quality of that speaker in that location.

Alex - The DSR does only have 8 outputs. I'm running 10 channels to it by splitting the JL with the Y splitters. That's one thing I was wondering if I did correctly.

I've heard good things about the UN8's in the bags (especially off the JL amp), so I'm going to try them. What do you like to put in the bags if I want some bass out of there?

Thanks for chiming in.

Ive heard the UN 10s in bags and the 8s in a tp and lowers interested to
hear what you think of them. I have the PRV 8mb600FT in my bags and they
hit hard. GZ would be another Ive read about being a good 8” bag speak

Brother I've traveled to a lot of shows and heard a lot of bikes and those speakers are not the ones you want in the bags. To answer your more immediate issue which is wiring....just run the amp in 2channel mode and run Chan 7/8 into inputs 1/2 of the 400/4. For bass (mid bass punch) in 4ohm you could use the DD W8's or the GZ 200's...on a budget the PRV 8MB450's pound pretty good for a budget speaker. I'm sure there's others out there.

In lowers or TP pods I'm sure those speakers sound great as they have some good vocals. To add some context to 10's in bags, there isn't a single top bike that makes it to the finals in major shows that runs the UN10's in the bags. The GZ 8's are good, but not sure I'd pull a set of PRV 8Mb600's in favor of the GZ's.

That was the other way I was thinking of wiring it up. Thanks Alex.

Default Sony xav5000

How do you allocate outputs on back of deck for all those on dsr1? I have same kind of situation with the Sony deck but it only has 2 sets of outputs for 4 channels and 1 for sub. Running 4 horns st25 and sv165.1 fairing prv 8” in lids with st35. With 800.4 2 ohm and 250.2?
thanks

Set the DSP to two channel input. Don’t worry about the rest.
