Hey all, I think I know my limitation is the 4180 from research, but wanted to see if there was a way to get more bass out of my system?
14 Street Glide
Aftermarket head unit
BT 4180
7.1s in fairing
Hogtune lids with 6x9s that come with them
Are the pre set levels of the 4180 my limitation as I suspect? I went with the BT set up for plug and play simplicity. It rocks and is great, just lacks the low end like I've heard people say.
Those 7.1s are inherently fairly bright speakers so that's probably the closest alligator to the boat. The default settings on the BT355 crossed in the 80s would the a baby alligator.
Thanks for the replies. I have had everything in the bike for the past year or more so I can't switch to the other roll off 4180. Is that something that can be done myself or from biketronics only?
What would you recommend to swap out my 7.1s for a less bright speaker?
Mach1FB. their products have lifetime warranties so I'd pull it and send to them if you want it done. Aside from that, maybe another choice of amp that doesn't restrict the low-end response. if you want less-bright, stay away from Focal speakers..

Thanks Ultra, I know you've tried more than multiple combos of components from your posts.
The biketronics kit is amazing for plug and play and works great at speed. Clean power and sound, just wish for a little more low end. I know most of it gets lost at speed unfortunately.
