Lots of posts recently looking for small micro amps you fit in the fairing, specifically to push some horns. Looks like DD just released a tiny amp that could be a contender the D4.60 at 179.00. We've been using the PRV 400.4 at the shop that retails for 150.00. We know the JL 280/4 is a great option. The GZ amp will be back by the end of Sept. What else have you guys found and how small do you really need one of these to be?
Soundstream Stealth ST4.1000D, but list is $200, although has more power. http://soundstream.com/product/st4-1000d-3/
I had one in my hand and felt really solid.
I wen't with the AD400.4 because of the fan.

The Soundstream ST4 does no where close to rated power. The sound quality on that amp is pretty bad.
With regard to FM I couldn't say but I don't think that amp comes with any EMI shielding. We gave up trying to keep FM reception. Too many better amp options out there.
So my current system is the following
Hertz sv165.1 drivers
Hertz st-25 horns
Db drive neo4 (for the horns)
Diamond micro 4v2 bridged to the 6.5 drivers
Let me say the neo didn't do too bad pushing all 4 speakers in 4 channel. Louder than most I've heard. Didn't sound bad either.
Today my micro 4v2 showed up. I installed and bridged the channels....wow. Now I can play stuff that was a lot harder to make volume, Without distorting. The hertz liked the jump in power. For sake of the post, the neo is dynod at 4x85w. Most horns I see are looking for 100. This was a good choice for horns and my transitioning of amps haha. I still have 2 channels for 6x9's too! The system sounds amazing and that neo is under $100 on eBay.
