I'm thinking about pulling out the biketronics stuff and going with some Rockford fosgate stuff. A local indy has installed that in a couple of friends Limited's, and they kill my setup. Of course they have tour pack speakers, but I'll be adding lower speakers so. Just need to research exactly what he's installing. Scared me a bit when I asked him about flashes or line levelers, and he answered that Rockford fosgate requires neither, its all done "in the amp".
save you urself some headaches and from pissin a bunch of money away on sub par products... contact Alex at BaggerAudioLab by private message here on the forum and get top quality parts, expert advice and great prices and we will help you thru the installion yourself
Picked up my 17 SGS in August. Initially planned on slip-ons first, but now I think audio will be my first upgrades as it will hopefully benefit me AND the wife.
End goal is modest, two amps in the fairing, upgraded components in fairing and 6x9s in the lids.
This winter I'll pick up the DD AW6.5s and AT28s (BT114s acquired), BT355, and JL400/4? amp and do the install. Lids will probably be next winter's project.
I put in the DD AW and ATs and did a BUNCH of riding. Ive been having a vibration in the front end and will try and figure THAT out. I think it is my head bearings. So since I will have the front end off, I will re- wire the bike and finally get the Beymas in the lowers. AND hopefully find that annoying vibration!
Not really a winter project as it's riding season in TX, but I'm in the middle of a fairing makeover. I seek riding audio and have been looking for AWs on steroids.
Very efficient
Great Hz range
Damn budget friendly
Small crossover
Think I found them. Gonna test and tune the next couple of days. Very impressed thus far.
