Default Sena SMH10

A friend recently gave me a pair of Sena SMH10. The outside rubberized surfaces are all sticky, possibly from age or the Texas heat as they're clean. Any recomendations on how to recondition the surfaces?

Dr Google seems to think that rubbing alcohol, nail polish remover, or WD-40 are the best options. Thoughts?
