Anyone have any experience with this line? It's a new line from HOGTUNES for the Rushmore and later bikes. There's a 400w amp (200x2) and speaker package with all PNP wiring harness for Road Glides that they list at $850msrp but I've seen for $600.
Do some light Forum reading and u will find that u can smoke that system for half the cost.

The more I read the more I dont really understand. I look at kits from hog tunes and that seems the simplest way to go. I get that I can spend less and get better stuff but if I just want an amp and 2 speakers which ones do I choose? There seem to be so many options. Garrett

Did you look at Biketronics? Rockford Fosgate? Arc Audio? If you are looking for kits those might be worth some consideration.

I just put a 2 speaker, 1 amp system in my buddies '17 RG. $320 for everything. He was amazed at how much better it sounded (not the system I would put in my own bike, but it's decent). I got everything but a Biketronics piece from Amazon.
I went with a cerwin vega B52 amp and 6.5" Infinity Kappas, 8 gauge wiring, line-leveler, hogtunes amp tray, stinger RCA's.
I’ll have check that stuff out. Exhaust and tuner are next on my list now that bars are ordered but some better tunes are definitely gonna happen. Thanks for the advice.
Edit- RF and Arc are both in the $8-900 range. Is this what I should expect to spend? I see that cshocker did a set up for $320, is the $800 kit going to be that much better?

The biggest thing you need to start with is: what are you looking for as far as sound quality and loudness? And then what's your budget and end goal? You will save yourself A LOT of money if you come up with those answers first. Then let the brothers on here help you build a system. Do it right the first time, unlike what most of us have done, lol.
As far as kits, IMO, stay away. Seems like they just cost you more.

I don’t need the loudest bike on the block but I would like it to be loud and clear while riding on the highway. Budget, I don’t really have one set number picked out but if I could do it with less than $1000 that would be great. Only planning to do the 2 speakers in the fairing, no plan whatsoever to do lids or add lowers.

I just put the Wild Boar WBARG KIT in my 2017 road glide. $849 retail, i got it for 630 at 58cycle.com. Since i have an ultra i didn't have to get the head unit flashed. i have done a lot of audio installs in cars and a few bikes and this was the easiest ever. i only did the front since my ol lady uses headphones. it sounds very good and an audio meter shows a push in the bass bands but even going up into th15khz area. no problem hearing it at 80 mph. i could have gotten other components for less, but i will trade cash for convenience.
