Default Help me!!!!

So currently I have a pn4.1000 sound stream using 2 HCX165 in the waiting. I have 2 more HCX165 I was thinking about putting into the lowers I just ordered. However, would a midrange our woofer be a better option since the fairing speakers dont provide much low end?

I would say if you have them already doesn't hurt to try them. If you are not happy then are not out anything and can try something else after

Contrary to popular belief, The lower fairing speakers are not suited to produce low end in that location either. Speakers in that location need to be loud and clear. For that reason pro audio speakers work best in that location. Full range will work as well but they won't be as effective as the pro audio style speaker. Any speakers used to produce bass or mid-bass notes in that location will be lost in the wind. Hope this helps

The most user friendly would be the MMATS 601.4. They fit with no modifications. The ones I would recommend are the PRV 6MR500-NDY-4 but they require some modification to fit in the lowers. Not a big deal but it does require some work.

In your situation I would go ahead and use the Hertz speakers in the lowers since you already have them. 2 sets of those powered with the SS amp will sound good up front.
