Purchased speakers and amp for upgrade to 2017 road glide, curious as to what hooks up to the head, from doing stereos in vehicles In the past the RCA goes into the head from the amp, but there are no jacks on head unit, where do they go?
You'll want a Biketronics Bt355 Line leveler. With that you unplug your speaker harness and plug the HU side of that harness into the line leveler. From there you use RCA jumpers from the line leveler to the input side of the amp. You then run wires from the output side of the amp to your speakers.
The BT355 flattens and levels out the crazy eq curve of the stock head unit and simultaneously gives you the low level connections you are asking about.
I did read that on Biketronics, but it seemed odd that your bypassing the actual stereo unit and just plugging in speaker wires etc. I guess I am. Just over thinking this simple process.

Your not bypassing the stereo, you are running the stereo signal thru the bt355 to the amp.
