Default removing headset plug from console.?

I find nothing in the manual about removing the headset plug from my console. I'm trying to make room under the seat to store the tour pack wires when the trunk is off, and I will never use the headset. I dont want to break it though. Has anyone done this?

I have plenty of room under my seats (SG seat and Corbin Classic Solo) to store the tour pak wires. What do you have there that's taking up so much room?

I just want to clean up the wiring, I will never use the headset. Plus, the previous owner had more add on **** on this bike than I have ever seen-lol. To me, less is more.
