Hey guys, both Haze and T, you guys are extremely knowledgeable and extremely helpful. I'm sure you don't realize how valuable you both are to newbies like me. By the way the site for the SP speakers brought up some nice 8in speaker rings for my bag install. Thanks.
For starters it's the same size as the JL280/4 but has 250/2 watts bridged. So for the Rushmore guys with no pods it fits perfect horizontally on the clutch side in the fairing. Full size amp on the tray and this little 250/2 guy makes for a great platform for a multi speaker build.
For guys wanting just a fairing speak setup 250/2 in this small package is a great move as well.
Shocked that GZ has not put their toe in the water regarding this market. Can not even guess how many guys have purchased the JL280/4 based on size alone which could have been completely owned by GZ.
I will keep an eye on availability, but again if they don't get a legit business structure set up in the US, I would not jack with it even though my amp has been damn reliable.
T
I called them this morn to get some more info. Real Germans are funny guys to talk to, they aren't used to people asking questions about products and quality. Overall it sounds like a decent Chinese-made amp, 10%THD when pushed out is a little rough, but the damping factor of 100+ @ 4ohms means there's some level of quality and ingenuity to this amp ("You know the Germans always make good stuff"). Definitely a step up from the JL280/4.

Hotrods and Handlebars makes those rings. Great guys. Ask for Art or Drew and tell them Alex at Funk Shop recommended you.

I'll have to try one of these out.
Good info brother, and totally agree that they make damn good stuff.
Hope u can break the code and get ur hands on one locally.
Got this thing burned in and was happy to see it fits comfortably into the hole. All the connections being on one end makes this thing a winner in this location. What it can do is another story.

looks good, where did you find that little beauty?
GZ USA is going to get very popular very soon, contrary to what one person thinks. I know of a few shops that have started using their products and the owner is extremely supportive. I’ll get more pics but this was an entire GZ bike we did for a show and the owner flew in his master tuners to go over the bike. Great guys!

Thanks Alex! I, for one, am interested in where we can get GZ products especially the micro amp. Keep us posted.
