Feel bad for you guys attendees and vendors numbers didn't look good this time and it was identical at last year Sturgis too, not sure if economy or people loosing interest in these motorcycle gathering.

I don't think it's as much economic as it is market demographics. Younger people in general are just not buying cruiser/bagger motorcycles. Motor company sales are down so it makes sense that the number of interested people in these events is down.
In my opinion many of these rallies have become so expensive to attend that people are making other plans. The last time I priced going to sturgis I figured at least $2000. I could do 2-3 trips elsewhere for that coin.

A few of us went to Laughlin for three days preceding the rally. Rooms were $25/night. We ate/drank/gambled, rode to Vegas,Oatman,Kingman,Havasu. Wednesday we walked the vendor tents and checked out Thursday morning. On Thursday the room rates went to $175/night with a 3 night minimum.
