MM652s in fairing
WDX6MOTOs in tour pak
My first uh-oh moment came when I didn't realize the MOTOs would not fit in the tour pak until I was ready to install them. I had already installed the MM652s in the modified fairing pods and I wasn't about to undo everything. So, I had to make the MOTOs work. After a lot of head scratching and a lot of WTFs, I ending up stacking two 1/2" depth extender rings on both sides to allow enough room to mount them, which ended up working out just fine. I'll admit, it's not the most elegant solution and I was worried about seat space, but my wife still has plenty of room. She doesn't ride much anyway, so no big deal.
After I got everything buttoned up, I took the bike out for an 80 MPH shakedown cruise on the flattop. I made a few adjustments and at 3/4 volume, this system has plenty of power for hearing all four speakers. I couldn't be happier with how it all turned out.
GalvTex, good call on the dB Motos in the TP. I really think that's a damn good location for them especially if ur not into the higher freqs those deliver.
I think I'm going to follow ur lead on the TP that my dragon makes install for road trips but they are oversized pods so hoping for minor spacer requirements.
Sounds great brother and glad u seeing the benefit of both sets of these speaks throughout ur riding envelop.
sounds great nice and clear on the vocals
now... on a more serious note...you have a fan running in your shop and i was chiseling snow and ice this weekend whats up with that?
