Default Loss of signal or other issue with Deutsch Connectors?

I'm thinking now about making a quick dis-connect set up for the wires going to my saddlebag lids. the speaker wires are 16 awg and i was thinking of making up a couple of 4 pin connectors.2 for the 6x9 and 2 for the horn on the bridge. has anyone run into any kind of issue with that connector set up? i'm curious because the pins and sockets are kinda on the small size, but that style of connector is easy for me to get and easy to work with for me. i was just wondering if anyone had run into any loss of signal strength of sound quality, anyone???
thanks
marco

Where did you mount your crossovers? You should only need a single 2 pin connection going straight to your crossover. That is, if you've mounted the crossovers under your lids. I have coaxial speakers, so I could be wrong, as my crossovers are built into the speakers themselves. I do not notice a degradation of sound, by the use of my deutsch connectors. I used these:

i have a dd vo6x9 in the lid on it's own channel and a dd vob3 horn mounted on a bridge that i made also on a different channel. an ARC PSM is doing the crossover job as both speakers are on different channels, thats why there are 4 wires going into the bag.

Would it be easier to get a crossover, and do it the way I said? As I mentioned, I'm not that familiar with separates. Are you doing that for maximum power to each speaker? Or is that how it's actually supposed to be done?

The Arc PSM is an ACTIVE crossover, among many things. the crossover point for the 6x9 is nowhere close to the DD-VO B3 horn, I'm sending 150-190 watts to the 6x9 (once i get my amp selection pinned down). way to much for the horn it this scheme. the horn is actually wired on a circuit for the 6.5 in the tp pod, which is only getting between 70 and 100 watts, not finalized on that either.. the different power and crossover requirements require the use of more wires. they tuck away nicely when assembled, just wanting to make a connector so the bags can be easily removed for service repair work.

A DT16 connector is too small in my opinion.

Spade connectors and shrink tube.

And I’d put on a dab of dielectric grease.

I used these for a quick disconnect of my DD VO 6X9s in my saddlebags. I wired them with 14awg wire. I have not experienced any loss in signal or other issues.

These are the same ones I use. On one bike I have them going to a set of 6x9's and JL 8.8's on another. Both are being fed a good amount of power and if there's any signal degradation I sure can't tell it.

Same here. Haven't metered it but no discernible loss to my amateur ears
