I have just installed a M70BT that i purchased at crutchfield, which was scratch and dent that may be my issue. 05 FLHT already had a biketronics bt1000 installed. added a B52 and kappas also. PROBLEM - as soon as i power up HU, every 14 seconds i can hear a little motor like the CD drive. Also, starting the bike cuts power and loses all memory to the HU. shutting off bike for more than 15 seconds loses all memory. Constant power yellow wire remains at 12 Volts. I am going to try a direct jumper to the battery and bypass the BT box, but does this seem like the HU? did trying to save money burn me?

Checked the fuse, it was good. The motor noise every 15 seconds is unit looking for a CD. So I can make that stop. Wired direct from the battery to the constant 12 and still does a power down memory wipe when you hit the start button. Crutchfield sending a replacement. Just more time and aggravation

It very well maybe looking for a cd. Try putting one in and see what happens. If you are getting a new unit then my point is mute but I would like to tell them what is wrong with it. Good luck my friend.
