Default Xm sat for 17 limited

just wondering if I can use a xm sat doc station on my 2017 ultra limited like I do on my 11 ultra. So I can take my xm sat receiver from my work truck to bike to shop to car. I do it now but a see no aux Jack spot on the 17 limited....don't laugh I am super audio challenged ....😬 If I can who's do you use as it time for a new receiver .

It can be done. I did it. I just wasn't happy with the results.

To do it, you have to buy the 3.5mm adaptor from HD and plug it into the heads unit. If I remember correctly it was $29.00. From there you have to have the dealer flash the radio to recognise the new input, so it shows up in your media menu. Then mount the docking station in a handy place to see it and reach it. I found that the pins on the docking station didn't hold up to the bikes vibration and would only work intermittently. After much trial and error, I gave up.

I do enjoy xm, so I ended up paying the piper and bought the Boom XM unit. Expensive, but worth it over what I had. I can now switch media, channels and view it on the head unit with the thumb controls.

I've been trying to justify the ungodly Harley XM price, ever think if these HD execs might sell more parts if they didn't put a boot on your throat?

Sirius bought XM and when the FFC approved they re-named the company SirusXM
