Re. the biketronics bt66 splash guard. the site mentions it only works when used with retro radio kit.
is this the case? It looks as though it would press fit into the existing radio opening.
I bought the scoshe cover for my aftermarket stereo. looks great but will not stay put on rough roads.
for $20 the bt66 looks like a good choice and fitment. but unsure as I did not use the BT retro adapter kit.
any thoughts or others who have made it work without the bt retro kit.
thanks
68 works with other install kit, I used the Metra, I would assume the 66 does too.
They just want you to buy their kit. This just pushes in snug from the front and has no effect on any install brackets.

I use the BT68 with a Metra install kit and I have the chrome radio trim. It is a push fit and has a silicone gasket around the edge. It's not going to leak and I can assure you it's not going to fly off.
Man, wish i'd known that before buying the scosche model.
thanks for the info but just so I'm clear, I don't have the chrome trim so do I want the bt 66 or 68...or does it even matter?
just wanna be sure before I order. I'm in Canada and returns are a bit of a pain.
Thanks all for quick replies.
