Can it be done? If yes, how did you do it? I have a 2016 Limited Ultra. Just did 4 DD AW6.5 speakers & B3 horns in the fairing, and (with some modification) AW6.5s in the tourpak. Nice setup. I had 4 JL Audios in the fairing & tourpak of a 2011 Limited Ultra, but also 6.5s in the lowers, and didn't realize how much they added until I didn't have them. Just wondering if I can do something in the lowers, in spite of the radiators.
It can be done and has been done.
Soundz has the lower pod adapter that the sell for around $200.
Or you can get some adapters to use on the lowers for around $30 but limits what speaker you can use.
Then if you are real handy you can do a coolant bottle relocate and use a standard lower speaker pod with modifications.
Here is a pic of the adapter that Soundz sells for the wethead lowers. It looks large and it is, but not in the way. I'm 6'2 and my legs don't get near the speaker. It's not much for fashion but it is for function. I figured I had 3 choices 1) No lowers 2) These adapters or 3)Sell the Limited and buy an Ultra. I chose the cost effective option that still got me lowers.
FWIW. i'd do it again. That location is the best add on bang for the buck.

That is true.... that is an option albeit a labor intensive one. You also need to grind the inside of the lower fairing as well. I wasn't too hip on all that.
