Haze,
IA tour pack with those sharing the same air space, will those all be wired for Mono or stereo?

no idea man. Just spit balling ideas on this thread. Nothing off the shelf would fit any of that.

For me it is a Harley first and a stereo third or fourth. If I had to choose between keeping the tour pak and keeping the stereo the stereo would be gone in the blink of an eye.

That being said if I could play with someone else's money I would try to do as good as I could without sacrificing bag space. On my 2010 UC I might try:

Stock HK head unit with preamps added by IC (I want to keep the CB, weather band, Intercom, and AVC).
Maybe send the HK back to Iron Cross to have the white LEDs installed for night riding
Up front in the fairing whatever the best marine rated 6.5 coaxials are.
In the lowers whatever the best marine rated mid bass speakers would be (MMats or PRV) in stock or Fairing Factory lowers in the stock vented parts.
Maybe an ARC Moto 600.4 powering the four in front.
ARC PSM
Ipod module so I could leave one of my spare Ipods plugged in all the time
Level controls under the switch panel for each front channel
Whatever the best marine rated 6x9s are in the lids
Good marine rated 6.5s in the rear pods
Maybe keep the RF TM400x4ad in the clutch bag just for the 6x9s
Maybe add a JL or MB Quart waterproof amp under the tour pak for the rear pod speakers
Keep my 70s style steel whip antennas for good CB and FM reception
Pay someone smarter than I am to tune the ARC PSM
Put one of those vibrating pads under the rear seat for my wife but don't tell her it's there

Hoyt,
All that is doable. Make it happen. but some amps may interfere with your FM.

I havent tried enough things to know exactly which speakers to use. I do know it would be powered by all JL amps. I would change to a double din inner fairing. Maybe two 12s , four 8s , a pair of 6.5s , pair of compression drivers and a pair of horns or 2. Dont know exact speakers or wiring scheme but it's something to shoot for anyway

Juice,

The main reason I would like to try the ARC amp in the fairing is I have heard it doesn't interfere with FM reception like the SS PN4.1000d I have now does. I regained some of the reception by swapping to the older steel whip antennas though. I'd hate to spend $600 just to find out it doesn't improve reception. There are some good FM stations that I like to listen to but can only pick up when i get near town. The thing is I have never been disappointed by the performance of the PN4.1000d. That thing puts out all the sound I have ever asked it to and never once distorted. It also runs very cool without the need for a fan. I am using a very clean low level input though so that may make a difference, but I like the idea of not having to worry about a fan failing on me.

Maybe I'll start another thread asking if anyone has tried both amps and noticed a difference.

On a daily rider one of many options I would like:

Kenwood DNN 992 radio with WiFI
Beyma 6CX200Nd in fairing
Beyma 8CX300Nd in sealed SBD lids
2 Ground Zero GZCK 250SPL in 4" drop Voodoo bags
JL HD 900/5 - 4 fronts running horns, rear channel pushing the 10's mounted under TP in custom mount
GZRA Micro Four in fairing running the 6.5" woofs in the fairing
GZRA Micro Four in fairing running the 8" woofs in the lids
AudioControl DM-810 DSP in fairing, each speaker type on it's own channel

Nice. Good thoughts.
Remember those Beyma 8's are 8 ohm may need more power?!

that’s really he hardest thing. We do it every day, we just do it within a Budget so it’s hard to configure something you’ve never installed before much less heard.

I would take year off work go work in couple different top audio shops .Just never going to know what need to know just trying different components .
Another option would be have top guy come to my place and I lay out all the gear I have and watch him do magic and learn how much I have left behind from wrong combo or wireing choice or placement.

Don't think it's money that is holding most back ,
It's hard to be part time inthuiist and want mind blowing pro system .
