Default 2017 RGU 4 Speaker

Hi All,

Been doing a lot of reading about audio and am looking for advice. I haven't pulled the trigger on anything yet and am planning a winter project. I have a 2017 RGU and am looking to upgrade. I am looking to replace the fairing and TP speakers, add amp(s) keeping the stock head unit. I would like to keep it at 4 speakers in the stock locations. I'm looking for more clarity and sound at speed. I generally ride 75 if stuck on the freeway and listen to classic rock and blues for the most part. I prefer sound that isn't ear piercingly bright.

This is what I was looking for opinions on.

2 DA micro82u amps. 200x2 @4 Ohms. Will 2 even fit in the fairing? It looks like the same footprint as the 4v2 so I believe others have done it and even more. What might the easiest install, amp plates and fairing locations?
2 Arc Audio 602v2 for the fairing. Not sure if they need adaptors?
2 Polk MM652 or Alpine SPR-60. Will either of these fit in the TP and will they need large spacers? I'm trying to keep it looking and feeling(rear seating) as stock as possible.
1 BT Ultra amp wire kit.
? Other misc items to complete the install.

Any and all comments/criticisms welcome.

Brian

Have no insight on the majority of that, but I can verify that the Arc Moto 602 WILL fit the pods without modification to the pods. You will need to remove the rubber around the magnet however.

Thanks Einan.

After reading a bit more it looks like the Polk's would need a spacer(1/4"-1/2") to go in the TP. Maybe 1/4" would be ok. Would have to see how they looked. Don't care for the grills tho.

The Polks will fit the tourpack w/o spacers. You just have to unscrew the little crossover board on the side of the backside. There is enough slack in the wiring to it to tuck it out of the way. I wrapped them in electrical tape as well to make sure nothing grounded out.

Thank you, that is good news.

Under the miscellaneous items to complete the install, you will need to decide if you want the fade control operable.

If so, you'll want Biketronics Breakout Harness and 2 line levelers.

If fade is not a priority, 1 line leveler and a RCA splitter will do the trick.

Thanks DSM. I looked at one kit from BT that has the harness and 2 LL. I would probably go that route to keep the fader.
