My question is this if I had my HU flashed and I want to install a dsr1 would I have to reflash it back to stock?
If ur sled is currently flashed and ur fade works, no need to do a damn thing. There are aftermarket flashes that are being accomplished in an attempt to flatten the Boom curve, and some of those attempts will disable the fade.
If ur fade works now, the difference in flash will slightly change the base line of the EQ curve as u begin ur tuning. I have a HD 0 amp 4 speaker flash (which is the stock flash for an Ultra HD Model) and it is easily managed by the DSP.
Hoyt,
for me to accurately answer your question on the flash i need to be at the shop wit the tool open in that process screen, as there are several different flashes that do different things. I have to agree with T that if your hu is flashed already and your fader works, you have the flash that you need. I do NOT have the HD digital tech tool, i have the TechnoResearch tool, and they "title" or describe the flashes a little differently between the 2 tools. what you want is the one that flattens the eq and leaves the fader enabled, i just dont know the name without looking in the program.

If you figure out which flash does that post the description. I have access to techno software but the closest one I found that still had fade was 4/0 with amps 1&2 enabled.
I know when he flashed it my rear speakers stopped working. On the Rockford fosgate hd-14kit front and rear work off front 2 channels of the amp. Frenchie told me the tms6.5 speakers would disappoint me and he was right. There is like no bass at all coming from those speakers they are loud as hell

Trade some of that loud as hell for just a touch of warmth. Turn the HPF crossovers down a little bit. Maybe 80 Hz?
