DB Drive WDX6Moto, T400x4AD, DSP, '13 and down HK, fairing only,
should I run them bridged?

your amp will do 200 watts per side when bridged, that leaves some amp power headroom for the specs on your speakers. the only way to know if it will sound any better is to wire it up and try it out. just remember to start with your gain settings very low and work your way up slowly.

I personally would not bridge them. A. The speakers are pretty efficient. B. Bridging causes heat and distortion.

The DbMotos are over 100 efficiency. I have 140 going to them and they'll hurt your ears.

Thank for the replies, I'll try them both ways.

Another question, just thinking, and don't have them in front of me, but is it possible to hack and wire the woofers and tweeters to separate channels using the DSR1 for control?

You can tame them way down with a DSP and not hacking into tweeters and still get the sound you want.

you can band pass them with the dsp and it will help. to actually answer your question, if you could could get to the tweeter supply leads and get connected to them cleanly, yes you could run them on separate channels and tune them individually, but it seems like a lot of work for minimal return.

Or do yourself a favor and get the DB Euphoria's, and ditch the Moto's. They have a MUCH better sound, warmer and clearer, they come with a crossover and separate tweeters with no DSP needed.

I run the Motos with 140 watts on a DSP and they sound fine. If you want more volume you need more speakers not more watts. We are talking 6.5s, not 8s or 10s.

I liked my Motos OK before I got a DSP, after I put the PSM in the mix I was able to get the sound I wanted without having to worry about components. I know components sound better, but I just didn't have the space for them and didn't want to get that technical. But then again I have six other speakers adding to the mix. If you really want to stay with two speakers then the Euphorias NDFastin mentioned might be worth a try, especially since you have a DSP and a four channel amp to feed them with.

For the longest time I held off on getting a DSP, but once I did I really don't want to do without it. I know if you get enough high end components you don't need one, but I just don't have that budget to play with.
