Default 6 1/2 or 6X9??

Thinking about adding a aftermarket fairing to my 09 Road King. One of the ones I'm looking at has the option of 6 1/2 or 6X9 speaker holes. Which speaker is going to sound better in the fairing?

you will most certainly get more lows and volume from a 6x9, i guess it depends on your budget and the look your going for

IMHO the best option would be to get it without holes cut and make holes for 8” and tweeters. IF that’s a option. (Not sure if they would fit)

Honestly not a fan of the look of the 6X9s in the fairing. They look to big for the fairing, but if I'm going to get a much better overall sound I could learn to live with them.

Right now I'm just looking to add the fairing and speakers. Want to get away from wearing ear buds. So I would say my budget is on the low side. Probably going to add speaker lids in the future.

^^^This! I wish I would have made my wife order her reckless fairing this way.

The 6x9 will most definitely give you a better sound but it's god awful ugly to look at.
