I went through the same thing with my Heritage. 6x9s would give the most bass, but I didn't like the look of them. Four 5 1/4s would get loud, but not have much bass. I compromised and bought a fairing set up for two 6 1/2 inch speakers, they look good and there is a world of speakers to choose from.
That would be a nice middle ground.. BUT, if I decide to go fairing then I'll be getting the Stealth fairing and the only 2 options are 6x9 or 5.25....
Your not gonna hear the bass while riding anyway so I would choose one that would allow me to hear it better. In your case it would be the 4-5.25 speaker setup.

Decisions decisions....
Funny, I bought a Stealth fairing also! They frequently run out of one size or another, but they replenish the stock often. I was tempted by the four speaker setup, but since I already had two sets of 6 1/2s it was a no brainer. Good luck with the install!
I haven't finished the stereo install yet, but the fairing itself seems like it's pretty nice. When you factor in the very low cost this thing is a bargain!
