Hey Marshall, I think the answer is yes based on this nice little Q&A link, but I like to overkill everything and you'll kind of see why I did what I did. I may have wasted a few bucks, but didn't want anything left on the table and hope it sounds great anyway when finished!
Bottom line is that I am happy with the system and at 80mph, I cannot turn it up to pre-clip levels because it is too loud. So goal accomplished there. Could I have done that and spent less money and without 3 amps? Probably. But let's just say that so far I have zero itch to upgrade my system, so that says something I guess!
