For th purpose of midbass would there be a big difference in a set of DD vo 6x9’s mounted in the bag facing the tire vs a 8” mounted in the same location ? I already have the 6x9 vo’s and would have to purchase the 8’s, from my searching I would go with most likely the PRV 8mb600ft. Speakers would either be ran bridged off 2ch of a focal fdp sport or of a dd audio d4.90 bridged.
Thanks for your input

Already have 6x9's in the lids and really don't like the look of 8'' lids. I know my best option would be a 10'' in each bag for the sound im looking for but I cant dedicate that much bag space to a speaker right now, so im looking into other options that will give me some low end thump.

It's all give and take brother. Ur just not gonna get big low end thump from a 6x9 in the lid. U will get some well deserved rear stage compliment, just not max return on low end thump.
8"s inside the bags w 6x9s in the lids works but for max benefit there I would find a way to get airspace separation between the 2 or u will have a air battle going on under higher demand volumes.
I'm about to head down this road and was curious about this. Would setting one of the sets of speakers out of phase minimize the air battle? I'm planning on playing with that in the tuning process when I get everything installed. Just curious what your thoughts on this were.
