You are running the amp in bridged mode correct? Not trying to beat you up about your install, just trying to save you from seeing the magic smoke that renders **** useless.

Why would you add tweeters when you have coax speakers in the fairing?

No, it's not in bridge mode. I ended up with the NVX VADM2 amp, so each channel is rated at 150 rms, but from the Sonic video, it's closer to 185 per channel. Maybe I should just bite the bullet and buy the Fosgate lid kit and wire them in together at 2 ohms. Then I could turn the gain down and get more sound with 4 speakers at 100 watts each.

If you set the gains at 29v with that amp you are probably clipping since clean spec is only 150w.

Ok, I can do Fosgate lids, or I can do Hog Werks lids and buy my own speakers. Bottom line, which speaker reproduces better sound, the Fosgate 6x9 or one of the various coax 6x9s in the sub $200 price range? The kicker is it needs to run 2ohm at about 130 watts.

Why 2 ohm? What is your wiring strategy?

I have a 2 channel amp. My Polks are 4 ohm, so the 6x9s would need to be 4 ohm as well to wire in parallel. Maybe I said it wrong the first time.

Ok just bought the Fosgate kit. I think I'll sell the speakers and do the Polk mm6x9

I think you're putting your cart WAY out ahead of your horse. You're not going to be happy with the outcome running all those speakers on that 2ch amp, regardless of how you wire them.

Fill me in. Even with 100 watts to each of the 4 speakers, you don't think it would sound better?
