You say line level, but I assume you mean speaker level since you said between the speakers and amp. If so wouldn't that jack with the impedance of the load when you tried to adjust it? That's what a level control is, just a variable resistor.
Hello, correct in line with the speakers. No it won't interfere with the impedance. I will say on the channels he plans on doing this to I would make sure 8ohm speakers are used so once all 4 speakers are connected
the amp will see a 2ohm load on ch 3/4 etc.
If you are running the same 4 speakers up front, get the SS pn4.1000 and run the front 2 sets in parallel. That would leave the rear channels open on the amp to push the lids.
I think Bates has posted the most economical high performance option so far. I have run that amp in the configuration he mentioned before and it performed well. The problem I had was my four speakers in parallel were so far apart that I couldn't balance them out. With the front four speakers on your bike being so close together the SS amp sounds like something I would try.
If later on you find that you can't hear your two 6.5s pointing inwards as well as you like then when money allows get a B52 for your rears and run the four 6.5s on the four independent channels of the SS. I did something similar with my setup and really liked the change.
You may have to cut on the radio mount to get the SS above the radio. I ran one in my 07 Road Glide, but I mounted it behind the glove boxes. You don't have that option with your speakers stuck in there. It's gonna be tight, but I bet it would work with a little trimming on that mount.

I had one mounted on top of an aftermarket radio on a 2008 RG. It fit with no problems. I second that Massive Audio BLX 48 as a good option, if you can find one. I'm trying to get hooked up with a distributor for them now as many places are sold out.

That's gonna be a very nice damn amp for some folks brother!!! Tons of power without a huge sticker shock, yet.
