Default Looking to Upgrade

Ok, so I posted a thread here awhile back but was just exploring with no budget in mind. Now that riding season is definitely here and I have a FM Road and Track 2/1 on the bike, I'm sick of not being able to hear my music at speed.

My bike is a 16 CVO Street Glide. I would like to get more sound at speed while trying to get that warm sound. I would be looking to upgrade to 6x9s in the back and not do too much modification (filing, cutting, etc.). I would also like to keep the stock head unit and know I will need line levelers for front and rear. Can this be done with a budget of $800 and what speaker/amp combination will meet these requirements?

Does your bike have speakers in the lower fairing? What size speakers are on the bike now. Sorry, not familiar with the CVO systems. You may need to factor in speaker adapters front and rear along with your line levelers and wiring. $800 is probably doable, but you may not be able to step into the higher end amps (JL Audio for example) with that budget.

BT355 LL - $85 ea
Amp wiring - $50 ish
Speaker adapters (fairing) - $40 pair

That leaves $625 for an amp and at least one pair of 6.5" and a pair of 6x9's.

The 16 CVO was a wethead so no lower speakers. It comes with the Boom II system so the bags are 5x7 and I'm pretty sure the fairing is 6.5".

SD800.4s amp and Mmats pa 601cx for fairing and PA690.4cx for the lids, along with the line levelers and wiring, should get you a real good start if you are willing to up your budget just a tad. the speakers retail for 100 each for the front and 169 each for the lids, and the amp is usually in the 350-400 range, so if you upped your budget a bit to 900-1000 you'd be in. deals can be had if you shop around.

Pretty sure I have a bit of wiggle room on the top end. So only 1 amp and run the wires back for the lids? Right now I know it has 2 amps.

Anyone else have any input to help me out?

Right now, based off the one suggestion it looks like:

Mmats 601cx in the fairing
Mmats 690.4cx in the lids
SD 800.4s w/ wiring - if I’m reading right the 800.4D is 2 ohm and I don’t want that?
Line levelers x2
Speaker adapters - who makes these?

Any other amps or speakers I should be looking at?

Actually man that setup would be pretty badass. Now I don’t know the specifics of line levelers and speaker adaptors because mine is pre Rushmore and I replaced all wiring with 12 gauge aftermarket OFC wire. But the speakers and amp Marco suggested will be loud as hell. Once you get that handled, you’ll probably want to end up adding lowers because they make a huuuuuge difference at highway speed with the weight speakers.

I would love to have lowers but it’s a wet head so not much for options there without significant modifications

There are 2 and 4 ohm versions of the amp. For the mentioned setup you would want the 4 ohm. Also you want the new "S" version with crosovers built in.
