I have a set of MPX in the rear of my Camaro. They are connected to an Alpine PDX-F6 with a birth sheet of 186 watts per channel. Crossover set at 100 and controlled through an audison bit one. Those take all the power and could still take more. Very loud very clear. I also have a set of component energy series in different vehicle with the energy series 5x7 rear. They are not as “loud” as the Mille pros running on the same amp. So wide open often and never an issue with either set.

I fully agree, I have run quite of few MPX's. Never found them to be that bright in a fairing or firing off the rear glass.
The PDX-F6 has some ***** too.

Pac dash kit or factory integrated?

The Camaro has a NavTv gm650 to convert MOST over to flattened eq. Then a fibre optic link to an audison bit one. My F150 is using the DSR1 to remove all the Sony crap.

I've been running a set of HCX165's in my fairing for several years. They are getting an advertised 110w each from a SD800.4 and I crank on them. Never skipped a beat.
