Don't get me wrong as I find tremendous value in the art of tuning however there are endless details that all are directly factored into such tune thus I find limited $$$ value in a email file or remote tune. Unless someone can physically get their ears and other business tools on a sled, it's nothing more than a baseline tune. No way around it. Just way too many factors that go into a properly tuned sled.
Furthermore, after all that static tuning takes place we then realize that for 99% of the marketplace, sleds are not static displays thus these fancy tunes become even more of a baseline tune for each individual to build upon based on their ears and various other dynamic circumstances.
So what's the ultimate solution for the end user on this daily rider social media platform? Education? Exposure? Hands on? Local support from a trade professional? Audio packages that are proven? Pre-tuned packages? Remote tunes? Product selection? Build strategy? Etc?
I would bet big cash that picking just one or focusing on just one of the above topics will NOT provide for an optimum or max potential sled audio experience. A balanced combination of many of the above factors perhaps? Damn right!!!! At the end of the day education, exposure, hands on experience and networking play a very big role in the unicorn hunt. Which is probably why many of us come here on our spare time to enjoy & embrace this hobby as a damn fun challenge. It's all about the details. Each and every one of of the details.

HAZE OR anybody. I have my dsr connected and when I change from one set of speakers to another that I want to tune i get a loud pop from the speakers. Anybody know why that happens?

Any specific details to better frame the discussion? U might want to start a new thread so others can possibly learn from the specifics.

It is 100% do-able.....Im doing it now. I tuned a bike remotely for Pairadice cycles and he won FIRST place at Philly SOS last year in the MW class against top bikes from across the entire county. The same bike untouched won again at Daytona SoundWarz against other top MW bikes that had been tuned in person by reputable builders. Its absolutely possible.
The caveat Ill add is that Im selective of the systems Ill tune. I wont touch the ones I know I cant nail and honestly thats more of the daily rider coax group here. However the pro audio set ups, I do a couple a week remotely and have nailed 100% of them. Thats a success rate Ill take.
The challenge the DIY community is faced with with respect to education is the lack of resources and industry professionals that can really teach this stuff. That leaves most guys looking for solutions vs knowledge and those solutions end up being the other things you mention (audio packages, pre/tuned boxes, etc) that dont meet the mark either.

I totally agree with all of the above. This is "next level" or "cutting edge" tuning where ur dealing with folks that have a fairly substantial foundation to stand on. And if these folks are in the competition scene, they probably already have pretty solid ears for high level sled audio. Ur experience, expertise, hands on ability & exposure to the competition scene will greatly assist that caliber audio enthusiast.
For average Joe, prob not so much unless included in the package is a significant investment in a one on one detailed education discussion surrounding the remote tune so that the customer can knowingly adjust accordingly where desired/required based on the variable & dynamics. That element could indeed have a solid cash value for those not willing to invest the time. Time is money.

Thats exactly it. Its also easy to tune for a specific target - winning shows. I know what that should sound like vs each individuals riding style, taste in music, etc. And yes theres an education piece that comes along with it (what to adjust or NOT adjust on your own). Its all in good honest fun too, if I cant do it I wont take it on. Ive also asked guys to send me their file if theyre close I just give them advice and let them learn their way through it. Ive done that for guys here with more advanced systems. So yeah...it works for some, but not all.
I make custom files for folks all the time. I even had a bike win an SOS show that I tuned remotely, another made it to the finals in Myrtle two weeks ago. It's do-able.
Alex Haze is the man is all I can say GBS made me a file with my DSR-1 and it sounded great at first then hearing other bikes with lower end systems I was sort of ... lets say I would go to bed with it on my mind and it bugged me I did diligence research trying to learn more on google how to setup DSR-1 eq settings and wasn't getting to much .Long story I posted to this forum and a name was mentioned by others Alex Haze . I reached out to him and with my system equipment and how my jam sounded and how I wished it would sound 3 days later he sent me a file that I had no problems purchasing.. loading it on DSR-1 I played DREAMS -MOLLY HATCHET started slowly tuning it up waiting was like a little kid on xmas when the drums kicked in I was blown away, I knew Alex hit it out of the park my system woke up . My Sony xav 5000 would start to distort at 37 turned it up to 45 before the song ended and wanted more im gonna redo my amp gains . THANKS YOU ALEX . im gonna sleep good tonight ,some may say that I just didn't know what I was doing and that's fine ...lol I didn't .. that DSR-1 is a little intimidating but I was not gonna just sit on my *** about it !!!!
