Default Boom box gts

So I recently bought this Boom Box Gts and this is the screen I get when I want to use AM/FM. It only has FM and MW? MW what ever that is. I live California USA. Anyone have any idea?

A quick Google search and I found this:
  • Medium Wave, (MW) frequency range of 530 to 1700 kHz (commonly called the AM band)

I guess the term AM is old fashioned now???
