I went messing around with the power wiring to the amp...adding ferrules and shortening wires. Well, now I have no power to the amps. I have good connections and the DSR picks up via Bluetooth. I must have blown the fuse.

Sounds like you need to step away for a day or two.

Time for a little test light trouble shooting time. Hopefully you find the problem easy enough. Hopefully it's just a fuse. Check your grounds and remote turn on wire connection as well.

No question my mind gets jumbled with all my meds. I'm trying to take into account the time I have before the speakers arrive, then do a little at a time. My plan for today was to check the fuse...pretty sure that's the problem since I sparked it, then reconnect speaker wires to the new configuration.
Problem found. That's definitely a blown fuse. See, I'm starting to learn.
And,I just ordered some 1' RCA cables to replace those 3' ones that are filling up my fairing. I'm finally seeing the whole plan ahead stuff.

Take your time man. Theres no rush with this. Your bike isnt going anywhere. Get it done well and correct so you wont have to go back and mess with it later.

Definitely kill the power before messing with the wiring. Whether you pull the fuse or disconnect the battery. On the bright side, you didnt weld anything or fry anything else.
All speakers are now connected in the proper arrangements. I did burn myself a little with the heat shrink connectors but it's done. Now I just wait for the rest of the equipment to come in.
