Hello all,
I recently picked up my first HD. 2008 FLHX Street Glide, I LOVE it! Been a few years since my previous bike and I'm feeling back at home finally being on 2 wheels again.

Now for the down side.. the speakers in the bike are shot..
The front fairing speakers look like 5.25" if I'm not mistaken and the previous owner put speaker lids on the bags, but they have no markings and look smaller than 6x9 so I assume 5x7..


Now the questions..
Does anybody have knowledge about the Kicker PS series speakers?

Are they better/worse than the branded speakers from the HD dealer? because they are about the same price..

Would I be better off "future proofing" by going with the 4ohm or 2ohm speakers because at some point I do want to swap the stock stereo out for one with Bluetooth.

Is there a bluetooth enabled head unit that is plug and play with my bike I should look at over any other?


I'm not looking for "competition grade" audio.. just want to get good sound.

You did not mention an amp at all. Is that in your plan too? Is there one installed now?

 

I have not opened the wing up to see if there is an amp, so far I assume there is not.
I am not against having an amp, mostly depends on the cost vs overall sound gained I guess.
