No not really. Proper planning is everything. Most especially when going 8ohm. If not you'll find yourself in the same situation as the OP and not have an amp in your setup that's capable of giving those speakers what they need. Even your beloved Focal couldn't provide what he needs!!!!
I just looked up the specs on the JL XD amp again. It reads "Bridged @ 4Ω200 W RMS x 2". So are those 8's getting 100W or 200W each?
Zach
Only 100W each. Those speakers are sharing that 200W at 4ohms when wired parallel. Also the 75W is probably close to double what those B3's need especially in the fairing.

I agree I was just trying to rustle up the other JL fanboys. Proper planning is key. The Focal provides plenty bridged at
4 ohms it 2x500.
From the owners manual:
When a pair of the XD400/4v2s channels are bridged, they will deliver 200W x 1 into a 4 ohm load or 150W x 1 into an 8 ohm load. Operating a pair of bridged channels into a load lower than 4 ohms is not recommended.
So those 2 PRV 8MB500v2 NDY are sharing 200w.
With a scope or dd1 you can push that JL a little harder. 250+ depending on input, but thats still light for what the op has going.
Thanks for the clarification. I figured that is what it was.

Also VERY true. I really didn't want to go down this rabbit hole, but ends up poor planning is pushing me farther down.
So what would a good amp recommendation be for those speakers?
It's got to fit under the fairing
I want to keep the B3's on the same amp. I really only want to run 2 amps. The other amp is an SD800.4 that is running the 6x9's and 6.5's.
