I have searched on this website and on Google and haven't been able to find anything. My factory stereo has gone out. I've tried pulling the main fuse for a couple hours and tried a hard reset to no avail. I can take it to the dealer and have them send it off for $850. I've tried finding some place to send it myself for, hopefully less money. I'm NOT interested in going aftermarket so that's not an option. Iron Cross does not work on the late model radios. Soundz Bagger audio doesn't either. Does anybody know a company that works on these units?
It's made by Harmon Kardon, have you tried contacting them. Also if you have an Extended Service Plan it is covered.
You also can get a takeoff for $500.
Good luck

My ESP is expired so that's out. I haven't contacted HK, to be honest, never thought about it. The only ones I've seen on Ebay have been in the $800-1000 range. I'll keep looking though. Thanks for the suggestion.

You do know that you can renew the esp? I'm not sure what type of inspection they may do before coverage. I always keep esp on my bikes and they seem to always pay for themselves.

Yes, I do know I can renew the ESP and I'm looking into that.
As I was riding home from work this morning I just happened to glance down and my radio was on. It was on AM. I turned up the volume and got static. I changed to FM and it still have my presets programmed in and was working. I'm going to pull the fairing and look for any loose connections and, since it's not under warranty anymore, I may take the cover off the radio and look for any loose connections inside.

I contacted HK to see if they repaired the 6.5 Boom. They told me that they did not make the head unit, only tuned them for HD. They said that was HD's baby.
