That's where I'm at now. The front stage was good, it was the rears that gave me a problem. Honestly, I'm no speaker expert, but it's entirely possible something hit the cone as we were driving 90 on 35 South. I now have 200Ls in, and have a very conservative tune on them to see how they do.

Couldn't reliably use the DD1, it was showing distortion as soon as I cracked the gains. Had to settle at setting the amp with at 37.5VAC at -5db overlap. HU clipped at 43 but we set the gains at 40. We tried a lot of songs pushing bass and didn't have any audible distortion and the speaker cone movement didn't look out of the ordinary. I had a similar issue with a 800.4s that I put on my buddies RGS a couple weeks ago with a DD1+. At least on that one I could open up the gains a little before the distortion light went off. I think the SD amps just don't like much input voltage.

With that much voltage with no gain adjustment, I'm going to say you should check your input voltage to the dsp. If on the Sony, 2v should be right. But you may have to do some adjusting up or down. If you're minimum gain is that much voltage you're likely over driving the amp which was co firmed with dd1

Are you saying i.can change the voltage to say 1.5 volts and it would cut the power down?

I can't remember which way it goes. I think the less voltage you tell the dsp you have coming in, the more it'll push out. But yes, just because you're radio is 2V doesn't mean you have to use 2V as the dsp setting. I'd try it by going higher on dsp first. That should lower the dsp output voltage. Either way, disconnect speakers and test it out with test tone and dd1

Voltage on the RCA for that channel out of the DSR-1 was 3VAC at 40 on the Sony HU. I don't know that I could reliably say that the DD1 confirmed anything because I couldn't have blown on the gain **** without the distortion light coming on.

GSN, were you listening to your music on android auto or BT? Just asking because when we hooked my phone up to android auto the system was running significantly louder. I probably wouldn't have gone over 30 on the volume if you were on android auto and it was similar to my phone.
