Default Stinger amp install

I have a 2012 ultra w/ a Kenwood deck that I will put the stinger spx700 on. Has anyone been able to stack another micro amp on top of the stinger. I am running 6 speaker and would like to have them all on their own channel and keep everything under the fairing. Thanks!

It depends on the other amp and how you are running it. I put a nvx vadm4 on top of my stinger and was running it bridged. It got real hot and worried me about the heat so I moved the vadm4 back to the cubby hole. It never failed but I worried about getting so hot it would fade the outer fairing paint over time so I moved it.

Thanks that is the amp I am looking at. I have a pre Rushmore so I don't have a cubby.

If running two amps would it be better to run say 8 gauge wire from the battery up to the Fairing and then split that off into two 10 gauge wires to run the two separate apps?

My plan was a distribution block and stay with the 10 gauge wire I already have. I will see the stinger seems plenty loud and I have not even tuned it yet. It was like 9pm when I finished so I quickly set the gains and buttoned it up.

Got ya. I asked the above question because I really have no idea what the best way to run 2 amps is or what gauge wire is needed with what scenario. Not trying to step on your thread.

No worries brotha! Your question was related to install, all good by me! Hell maybe someone has a better idea.

Just depends on what your amp needs. I would say that most have changed to a minimum of 4ga wire from battery to the fairing distribution box and 8ga from there to the amps. Only way I'd run 10ga would be that's the biggest the amp connection would take.
